Our Journey
From a family workshop to a beloved toy company
How We Started
Little Bird Toys began in a small workshop behind our family home. What started as a hobby crafting wooden toys for our own children quickly grew into something more when friends and family began requesting custom pieces.
Founded by master woodworker James Thompson and his wife Emma, our passion for quality toys that inspire creativity became our driving force.

Our Process
Each toy begins as a sketch, inspired by both classic designs and modern play patterns. Our craftspeople transform these sketches into prototypes that undergo rigorous testing for safety, durability, and play value.
Our Core Values
These principles guide everything we do - from how we source materials to how we design and craft each toy. They're the foundation of our company culture.
Sustainability
We're committed to eco-friendly practices at every step. Our woods come from responsibly managed forests, and we've implemented a zero-waste initiative in our workshop, repurposing scraps into smaller toys or heating our facility.
Child Development
Each toy is thoughtfully designed with input from early childhood educators to foster cognitive development, fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and imaginative play. We believe the best toys grow with your child.
Quality & Safety
Safety is our top priority. Every toy undergoes rigorous testing that exceeds regulatory standards. We use only non-toxic, child-safe finishes, and our designs eliminate small parts and sharp edges to create heirloom-quality toys.
Community Impact
For every toy sold, we donate one to children in need through our "Play It Forward" program. We've provided over 5,000 wooden toys to children's hospitals and community centers since our founding.
